No More Homeless Animals

I found a remarkable statistics from the website; ASPCA Pet Statistics.
According to that website,

Facts about U.S. Animal Shelters:
Approximately 5 million to 7 million companion animals enter animal shelters nationwide every year, and approximately 3 million to 4 million are euthanized (60 percent of dogs and 70 percent of cats). Shelter intakes are about evenly divided between those animals relinquished by owners and those picked up by animal control. These are national estimates; the percentage of euthanasia may vary from state to state.

Today, many pet owners give up taking care of their pets due to some reasons.
There are many pets abandoned by their owners, and those pets are sent to the animal shelters.
If there is no new owners, those pets are euthanized.
This is very sad story, but it is true.

Pet owners must take responsibility for their pets.
Before having a pet, they have to consider that if they have an ability to take care of pets.
And, if you are thinking about a new dog or cat, please visit a local animal shelters and save a life!
